Ever walk into your apartment or home after long day (or even a short walk) and just get a sense of uneasiness? Try a few of these steps to help reduce feelings of stress or anxiety in your own space.
1. Clean or tidy up, even if its just for a few minutes. Wipe a surface down with your favorite spray, put away some toys, or even just recycle the mail thats piling up. Cleaning doesn't have to be a full day thing. Breaking up rooms or small spaces and tackling them one at a time is a great way to handle larger scary projects. Doing this will instantly give you satisfaction and some peace.
2.Greenery, it's so important to have elements of the outside, inside. Purchase a potted
plant, small palm tree or anything that might provide some life inside. If you're a bad plant parent then faux plants or florals will do just fine.
3. Smell is a very important sense and can affect your mood in any space. Plug in air fresheners, dried lavender, candles, and diffusers are all fantastic ways to incorporate fragrance and freshness within your home.
4. Put out cozy accessories wherever you find time to typically rest- perhaps a throw blanket that you splurged on or a favorite seasonal pillow.
5. Last but certainly not least, incorporate art on your walls. Choose a subject that you are particularly fond of and go for it. Be sure to choose the right size and color fit for the wall and you'll fall in love. Arhaus, Etsy, MgCee and Co, Horchow, Uttermost all have some incredible works of art but if you're looking for a more budget friendly option have some fun flipping through Society 6. Their website is so fun and offers framed art prints at a fraction of the price original works would cost.
All for now, hope these 5 easy steps help!
